Terms of Service
Last updated July 30, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and KeeperOS LLC for using KeeperOS. We have kept them short and in plain English, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
The short version
Your records are yours. We do not sell them, we do not train anything on them, and there are no ads.
KeeperOS is a record keeping tool, not veterinary advice. Due dates are arithmetic on the data you enter, not a care standard.
It is in founding beta. Things can break. Keep your own copies of anything you would be sorry to lose.
You need to be 18 or older. Either of us can walk away.
This summary is here to be read. The full text below is what governs.
1. Who you are agreeing with
KeeperOS is operated by KeeperOS LLC. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean KeeperOS LLC, and "you" means the person holding the account. You can reach us any time at support@keeperos.app.
By creating an account or using KeeperOS, you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
2. Who can use KeeperOS
You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. KeeperOS is not built for children and we do not knowingly accept accounts from anyone younger.
An account belongs to one person. You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has gotten into it.
3. What KeeperOS is, and what it is not
KeeperOS is a husbandry record keeping and scheduling tool. It stores what you tell it about your animals and does arithmetic on that: days since the last feeding, which tubs are due, what the growth curve looks like, when a clutch is expected.
It is not veterinary advice, and it is not a care standard. A feeding interval in KeeperOS is the interval you configured, not a recommendation about what your animal needs. Reminders and due flags are a memory aid. They can be wrong if the underlying data is wrong, they can be late, and they can fail to arrive at all. Your own judgment and a qualified reptile veterinarian come first, always.
You are solely responsible for the welfare of your animals and for complying with the permit, licensing, and record keeping laws that apply where you keep and sell them.
4. Your records stay yours
You own everything you put into KeeperOS: your animals, your logs, your photos, your notes. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any of it to us.
You give us only the permission we need to actually run the service: to store your content, back it up, process it, and display it back to you, and to transmit it where a feature you chose to use requires it, such as sending a transfer certificate to another keeper.
We do not sell your records. We do not use them to train machine learning models. We do not show them to other users. There are no advertisements in KeeperOS and there will not be.
5. What you agree not to do
Please do not use KeeperOS to:
break the law, including wildlife, import, export, and endangered species law; upload content you do not have the right to upload; impersonate someone else; try to reach another keeper's data; probe, scrape, overload, or attack the service; resell or sublicense access; or use it in a way that damages the service for other people.
The public demo account is shared with every visitor and is wiped nightly. Treat anything you type into it as public, and please do not put real records there.
6. Plans, caps, and the founding beta
Current tiers, prices, and limits are on the pricing page, which is the authoritative description of what each plan includes. KeeperOS is in founding beta. Checkout is live for paid plans, and founding accounts have every feature unlocked.
We may change plans, limits, and prices as the product develops. If a change would reduce what your account can do, or start charging you for something that was free, we will tell you by email before it takes effect, and you will be free to export your data and leave.
7. Beta status, availability, and liability
KeeperOS is provided as is and as available. We work hard on it, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any particular reminder or calculation will be correct or delivered. There is no uptime guarantee.
Because of that, keep your own independent copies of records that matter to you, especially anything you rely on for sales, permits, lineage, or legal compliance. Do not let KeeperOS be the only place a critical record exists.
To the fullest extent the law allows, KeeperOS LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, for lost profits, or for loss of data or harm to animals arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars. Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as that jurisdiction permits.
8. Ending the arrangement
You can stop using KeeperOS whenever you like. To have your account and its records deleted, email support@keeperos.app from the address on the account, and we will handle it on the timeline described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, that puts the service or other keepers at risk, or that we are legally required to close. Except where the situation is urgent or the law says otherwise, we will give you notice and a chance to get your data out first.
9. Changes to these terms
As KeeperOS grows these terms will need to change. When they do, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will also tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use KeeperOS after that means you accept the new version.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which KeeperOS LLC is organized, without regard to conflict of law rules. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
Questions about any of this? Write to support@keeperos.app. A person reads it.
