KeeperOS is reptile husbandry and breeding software organized around the room you actually stand in. You tap the enclosure in front of you, not a record, not a search box, and the animal, its schedule, its history, its feeder and its scent are already attached to the spot it lives in.
Who builds this
KeeperOS is made by KeeperOS LLC, the same people behind Hognose Hub. It is a small operation, and every feature in it exists because somebody was doing the thing by hand first. If you want to reach a human, support@keeperos.app is read by one.
Why it exists
Most reptile software is record-first. You find the animal by ID, open its record, open a form, type, save, go back, and do it again ninety-nine more times. That is fine for one animal and it falls apart on a rack. Care day becomes data entry, and data entry is the thing keepers quietly stop doing.
The other half of the problem is the wall between keeping and breeding. A hobbyist who grows into a breeding project usually has to leave the app they started in and set everything up again somewhere else. KeeperOS is one product across that whole arc: keep, grow, breed. So the first gecko's feeding history is still there on the day you are candling your fiftieth clutch.
Who it's not for
Software that claims to suit everybody suits nobody in particular. These are the people we would tell to look elsewhere.
- Fish rooms, aviaries and small mammals. KeeperOS is reptile-first: the care vocabulary, the feeder model and the species defaults are built on reptile husbandry and do not generalize.
- Zoos, universities and anyone who needs audit logs, seat roles or accounting integrations. That is a real market and it isn't ours.
- Anyone who wants a marketplace. Selling happens on Hognose Hub and MorphMarket; KeeperOS tracks the animal, the clutch and the sale, not the listing.
- Breeders who need a genetics engine outside western hognose today. Care, feeding, racks, clutches and incubation work for every reptile you keep, the morph and pairing-odds engine is hognose-only for now, with more species coming.
