Start with the part that matters most: SnekLog is free. Their words, not a summary — "SnekLog is free to use without any features behind a paywall, and without any information being traded with 3rd parties", and "100% free with no strings attached. There is no tracking, no sharing of information, no gimmicks, no ads & no premium features." It is "supported and run solely on donations by keepers like you". A keeper who wants a no-cost, no-tier, no-ads web tracker has a real answer here, and nothing below is an argument against that.
The honest difference is what sits behind each project. SnekLog is one keeper — TJ, who also runs Long Tail Reptiles — funding servers on donations, and they say plainly that "the web app will be free for as long as we can afford to keep the servers open". KeeperOS is a funded product with a company behind it. That cuts both ways: we have to charge, and a paid product owes you a roadmap and support; a donation-funded project owes you nothing and can also disappear or thrive on its own terms. Weigh it however you like, but weigh it knowingly.
KeeperOS is one product across keeping and breeding. The animal you logged feedings for as a single pet keeps its whole history on the day you pair it, so growing into a breeding project is a change of tier, not a change of tool.

Depth in specific places, and a company behind it. Western hognose genetics with pairing odds and clutch scoring, a feeder stock ledger with a burn-down and run-out date, and incubation temperature tracked over time are all things SnekLog does not claim. If none of those describe your keeping, the paid tiers are not doing anything for you and our own free tier is uncapped anyway.
No. We print sales certificates and batch transfer labels with QR, a crisis packet for the vet, and vet and sitter handoffs — but not cage cards for the enclosure. SnekLog states cage cards among their printable documents, so if that is part of your routine it is a genuine point in their favour.
