THE RACK positions itself as facility management software for ball python breeders, and its own FAQ answers the question "is this only for ball pythons?" with yes. That is a clear, defensible position and it makes the comparison unusually simple: if ball pythons are all you keep and all you plan to keep, they built the product for exactly you.
KeeperOS is multi-species by construction. The care vocabulary, the rack and tub layouts, the feeder sizing and the species defaults are built to differ by species, which is why the room works the same whether the tub holds a hognose, a gecko or a boa — and why a mixed collection does not need two apps.
KeeperOS is one product across keeping and breeding. The animal you logged feedings for as a single pet keeps its whole history on the day you pair it, so growing into a breeding project is a change of tier, not a change of tool.
